

Israeli and Palestinian Guides Together
Another post about the good people at Tiyul-Rihla. Early last month, I took part in a special two day seminar for Israeli and Palestinian tour guides. This was a unique opportunity to explore important sites together, to discuss important issues surrounding our identities, and to think about how tourism can be used to address the conflict. Guiding For Peace
Ten days ago, in collaboration with Tiyul-Rihla, I had the pleasure of guiding 70 children from Kids For Peace on a unique tour around the Old City Walls. There were four guides - two Israelis and two Palestinians - and each of us took a different part of the walls. I was responsible for the leg from Dung Gate to Jaffa Gate, which meant lots of climbing throughout the day!
