

To the Green Valley
It's always a pleasure to get off the beaten path and head to some of the lesser visited sites in Israel. Over Pesach, I took a family to Wadi Ara, just north of the Green Line separating Israel from the West Bank. We had a lookout over the area from the top of Umm el-Fahm, visited the village of Barta'a, which is situated on both sides of the Green Line, and visited Amna Kanane, an inspirational activist to works for Jewish-Arab cooperation and women's rights. Healing Across the Divides
I've just returned from guiding a ten day study tour (on behalf of Mejdi Tours) for an incredible American NGO called Healing Across the Divides. HATD assist Israeli and Palestinian health care organizations improve the health of Israeli and Palestinians within a community based framework. We visited a number of great healthcare initiatives across Israel and the West Bank, including projects to combat breast cancer, improve child safety, and provide asylum seekers with better
